Classroom Routines
Arrival/Dismissal
We will open our doors at 8am. Ms. Conroy and I will be there to greet our classes, so please wait for me to open the door before sending in your child.
Pick up will be at 2:30pm Monday-Thursday, and at 1:40pm on Fridays at the same door.
A teacher will open the door and dismiss children one at a time.
Snack/Lunch
We ask families to provide children with snack each day. Please send a healthy (examples: fruit, cheese, crackers, yogurt) snack that is clearly labeled as snack. Differentiating what is snack can sometimes be very confusing if children also bring a lunch from home.
Please also be sure to include the appropriate utensils for your child's snack. We think will be eating in the classroom or outside for all meals, so all food sent in must be NUT FREE.
Birthdays
Sadly, the district has asked us to do away with treats to celebrate birthdays. No food is allowed.
Take-Home Folders
Please make sure to check your child’s take-home folder every night, and send it back to school in the morning. The amount of materials going home will vary from day to day, which is why it is important to take a moment to check the folder before sending it back to school.
This is a crucial routine that will follow the kids throughout their years at Heath/Hayes!
